Halloween

For all my lovely pupíls! It's time to halloween!

It's the last day of October. Children put on costumes . Some of them dress like pirates and ghosts. Others
try to look like famous people - a president or a movie star. They carry a big paper bag and go the homes of all their neighbors. At each house people give them candies or fruit.
After an hour or two the chidren come back home with their bags full of good things to eat.
The symbols of Halloween are witches and pumpkins. Witches wear black costumes and pumpkins are orange. These are the special colors of Hallooween. People make Halloween lanterns to set in the window.
They make them from pumpkin shells. They cute holes for the eyes, mouth and nose. Then, they put a candle inside.
The favorite drink of Halloween is apple juice. It's also called cidar.
Teacher often serve cider to the children in elementaru school on Halloween day.
The boys and girls wear their costumes to go to school and the teachers give prizes to the students with the best costumes.
